Dr.Marcela Munoz-Rivera - Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, A.P., Lic.Ac. MSTOM.
Dr. Marcela Munoz-Rivera has graduated with a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture science. She is licensed in the state of Florida as an Acupuncture Physician. She is also Nationally Certified by the NCCAOM and carries a NYS License for Acupuncture and NYS License for Massage Therapy.
Dr. Marcela graduated from the prestigious Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City which is a four-year full-time graduate school renowned for its intensive program. She earned a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM), a Bachelor of Professional Studies, and an Associate of Occupational Science in Massage Therapy.
Her rigorous training focused on the incorporation of both Eastern and Western medicine to achieve the individual’s health.
Dr. Marcela has experience in Traditional Chinese/Eastern Medicine, Acupuncture Injection Therapy, Functional Medicine, five elements acupuncture, channel theory, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Eastern Herbal medicine, and nutrition and she is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Marcela believes in incorporating different styles of acupuncture and theories in Eastern Medicine combined with the latest research in health care mainly Nutrition and Lifestyle, She designs treatments that integrate and supports the individual’s mental, emotional and physical health.
After 5 years of having a successful private practice in New York and had worked for a really busy Community Acupuncture Clinic where she performed about 4000 treatments a year, Dr. Marcela decided to move with her family in 2015 to beautiful sunny Florida. She believes this is a perfect environment to raise her two boys and to continue to practice this amazing healing type of medicine.
